When you are a student you meet some really great mates, and a few years later you go your separate ways and lose contact with most of them. Which is a shame because they're probably the best mates you'll ever have. We think there's an alternative...
At the end of our second year The Crets went cycling around Cornwall together. It was great fun so we planned another holiday after we graduated. We rented a cottage in Aikton with two pubs nearby and enjoyed a week in the sun. The Crets holiday quickly became an annual event, with everyone abandoning girlfriends, wives and jobs for a week of drinking and arseing about. Last year, one Cret travelled over from Japan and another from Canada. So we're pretty committed and hope to have some more great holidays in the next few decades.
If you're at Uni. when you find this page, make the effort to organise something, and keep on making the effort. It doesn't have to be a holiday - maybe a day at Ascot or an annual wine tasting. Just pick something everyone likes and do a spot of organising.
A couple of years ago, in a moment of drunken stupidity, we decided that it would be fun to share some of our holiday experiences with the rest of the world. So we dug out some of the old photos and here's the results.Most of this site uses good, old fashioned HTML for two reasons. Firstly, it’s quick, and secondly I'd rather be writing content than struggling with CSS sheets and PHP scripts.
